VCHSS is a service provider for the Continuing Care branch of the NS Department of Seniors and Long-term Care, providing light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care and more.
Victoria County Home Support Services will work with you and your family to develop a personal care plan that is suited to your needs as identified through the Continuing Care Assessment.

Molly, a valued employee from Ross Ferry, has been a CCA with VCHSS for over 30 years. For Molly, the best part of her job is all the people she meets. “It’s about helping people stay in their homes. People really appreciate all that you do”.
Home support services
Our Care Team includes Continuing Care Assistants (CCA), Home Support Workers (HSW), and Home Support Supervisors. All of our HSWs and CCAs have provincial certificates and attend ongoing education programs. Staff are also certified in CPR and First Aid.

Nova Scotia Health’s primary objective is to empower you to maintain your independence and safety within your own home for an extended period. They provide you with an assessment of your care requirements, work with you to find the right supports, and authorize and arrange your services.
Continuing Care Coordinators serve as your central point of contact, providing access to a wide range of programs, services, and detailed information.
